| - I've kind of made the rounds of Valley health clubs - The Village, Lifetime (see earlier review), and Mountainside Fitness. For the past 2 years, I've gone to the Desert Ridge location of Mountainside. It is a great facility, great staff, and always very clean. However, I recently relocated to Central Phoenix and am now going to the Chase Field location of Mountainside.
As with all the Mountainside Fitness locations, two things immediately stand out. First, the gym is very clean. Second, the staff is friendly, helpful, but is not always attempting to upsell you which is common at most gyms. So super clean and very chill atmosphere - perfect.
The first time I came to MSF Chase Field, I met the manager, Michele. She is great. She made sure that I knew where everything was and explained about the parking for MSF members at Chase Field. It was a great welcome to a new location for me. I also have to mention, the assistant manager, Hannah. She is friendly, positive, and very outgoing. Both Michele and Hannah set a great tone for the club and make members fell welcomed from Day 1.
About parking, you'd wonder just how that works at a gym that is literally inside a baseball stadium. Well, there is a MSF lot right at the door and some additional overflow parking that is right next to the main lot. In the month that I've been going to this location, I've never had to use the overflow. Members are issued a parking sticker.
When I joined MSF, I realized that I had really found the best gym in the Valley for me. It is not snobby or a constant stream of sales pitches like the two gyms I belonged to before finding MSF. What is great about MSF is that there are locations all over the Valley. I've been to about 5 of them and they are all clean and the equipment is well maintained. The Chase Field location was new for me and it meets the same standard that the rest of MSF locations set.
