Their single-shot small latte (okay, I am a wimp when it comes to coffee!) was simply amazing, leaving a few "gourmet" coffee spots in Toronto in the dust. And don't even get me started on Starbucks or (gawd) Tim Horton's or other chains; it's sad really what passes for latte at those places.
Service was attentive and nice, and the place has very congenial ambience, with soft unobtrusive music playing in the background, just loud enough to almost drown out a conversation at the next table or the other side of their communal table, but not so loud that you'd strain to hear what someone in your party is saying. They actually have a bookshelf with some titles that seemed interesting - I'm assuming patrons starved on reading matter can resort to that.
Bisogno may become very different when George Brown's students flock in (the college is only one block away), but it was fairly quiet and relaxed this late Friday afternoon. Now I have to go back and try their pastries.
