| - Other reviewers are correct. This is not Absinthe, it's Opium. Different drug, different trip. From the ads, I was expecting something strange and spacey, and that's what I got.
I'm an usher in the show, but I only leave genuine reviews, I'm a regular yelper. Just being upfront. If I thought it sucked I wouldn't leave a review.
I love Absinthe, like the rest of Vegas, and am obsessed with the Miss Behave Game Show (BEST show in Vegas), so I was excited to see what Spiegelworld and Miss Behave's friends were gonna make. These are preview shows, and they tweak the show regularly. It's fun, strange, and not Absinthe, thankfully, cuz what fun would that be?
The first time you see Miss Behave or Absinthe you leave saying it's different than anything else, that is something Opium shares, otherwise it's different humor and acts, a bit more campy than Absinthe, but an act by act format. They've got a live band for the show who are really great! That's something I always think is missing in Vegas shows, it's always a soundtrack.
The venue is awesome, they went all out on the spaceship theme, if you get there early grab a Kiss My Asteroid (lychee cocktail yummmmm, you can tip me with one, not really) and walk around the theater. The VIP hallway has a bunch of cool retro sci-fi themed posters for the show if you're fancy and have money, the VIP section is super swanky.
Neg: I think they could use more of the in-flight entertainment plot, they introduce it in the beginning, but that fades out. And I think people miss the point that they're on a spaceflight to Vegas. I wish Miss Uranus had more interaction with the crew. Also, I feel like there should be a joke about buttholes and black holes.
