My husband purchased a pair of skis and boots for me from a website, based on sizing we were given by another major ski retail store. I brought my skis with me to work planning on going there on my lunch break to have my binding put on but realized Fox Chapel Ski & Board was 3 minutes away from work.
I called them to see if they were able to mount my bindings and adjust my boots. They not only were $25 less expensive then the other place, but they told me there was a good chance they would be able to have them done that day.
When I took my skis in, there were so helpful. Doug was very knowledgeable and explained to me that I really should have order the next size up in my skis. He showed me visually why and explained how they would effect my performance. The other employee also came over and they both agreed this would be best. He also suggested that my boots were exchanged for an entire size down and showed me how my foot would be sliding if I kept the ones I ordered, They said they would be happy to mount my bindings, but said that they would hate for me to be in the wrong ski.
I am so happy I didnt take my ski to the other place. I would be in the wrong size boots and have the wrong size skis. These guys are experts in their sport and very knowledgeable in helping their customers understand the importance of proper gear.
