Gaucho Parrilla has become one of my favorites in Pittsburgh. It's 7th in the nation on Yelp's list for best restaurants in the US and definitely deserves its place there.
I went with a friend and even though the bus dropped us across the bridge (the stop is right BEFORE the bridge, but he just kept going...) it was totally worth a freezing walk across an icy bridge to get to this place. The person who took our order was super knowledgable about the menu and I can tell they take a lot of care in preparing the food. He even offered to let us stand by the wood-burning stove since we were so cold from our walk over.
We got the Rosemary Braised Beef sandwich and New York steak, as well as a side of potatoes. It was all delicious. I think the sauces they offer really make it awesome.
As many have said, the hours that they hold are a bit inconvenient. (Tues. to Sat. 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM; Sunday Closed; Monday Closed) There have been many times I wanted to go, but it was already closed. Hopefully they will expand their hours after they renovate! At any rate, if you live in Pittsburgh (and eat meat), you should definitely check this place out.
