Okay, I think I just found my favorite breakfast place back home in Vegas. I've heard good things about this place over the years & finally made it here with some friends when I came home for the weekend. In summary - this place is simple, intimate, and a great staple in DTLV for both locals and tourists.
I had the truffled egg sandwich and omg it was sooo yummy. I'm a big fan of breakfast sandwiches, and this one was delicious and different than most I've had. It was flavorful and the mushrooms, to my surprise, were a good addition to the sandwich. I'm thinking about it right now and my mouth is watering.
The service was SO quick despite a busy Sunday brunch. I was very impressed. Food came out quickly and they moved the lines fast. Eat is located downtown so parking is a challenge but there are parking meters all around the restaurant.
I think what made me fall in love more with this place is hearing about Chef Natalie's story. She was on the CW documentary 'My Last Days' that featured a Vegas local with a terminal illness (I since then learned that's how La'Kat's deviled eggs came to be). The authenticity, the passion, and the vision behind Chef Natalie's story is inspiring & I think we are lucky to have her in our Vegas community. I'll definitely be back here.
