Lunch special isn't so "special" no mo'. It's $7.49, and the tacos are smaller than I remember. The tortillas were much greasier than I remember. Also, the proteins are grislier/fattier and more burnt than I remember. The salsas are still homemade and chilled, but they don't pack as much flavor or heat as I remember. (This is beginning to sound like a sad school reunion.)
The beans on my tostada ($2.75) were lukewarm at best. I ate them anyway.
Every bite of anything you eat here is just better at Taco Y Taco on the other side of town.
I will not be eating at Tacos La Mexicana no mo'.
Surprisingly, this place was full of customers.
