| - If a zero was available, I would not give the resort a one star. My sister and I came for a spa day, so this review is strictly for the spa. The spa shows deferred maintenance. Upon check-in, I was given a key to a locker that didn't work. The key desk person put the key back in with the other keys, and issued the same bad key out later that afternoon. I met the lady who got it in the "tea room". She received two keys that didn't work. I guess I was lucky to only have to trade my key in once for a working locker. This was the beginning of the journey of "things that didn't work" at the spa. Next up, the steam room was closed for repairs. The tee pee was flooded, and had big black trash bags strewn around inside. Dirty pillows were available to sit on if you wanted. I didn't and couldn't imagine anyone who would chose to partake of this environment.
Moving on, the spa was dirty. I was given a robe with makeup stains on the collar. Dirty towels were on the floor, used hair brushes overflowing from the "used hairbrush" container and a layer of things floating in the inside soaking tub. My sister told me her shower had mold growing on the floor. Really disturbing.
When checking out, I brought these things to the managers attention. I was invited back for a discounted return trip. Really? I would like to pay more to return again? Not. After meeting the manager at the spa, I understood why the spa was in such bad shape. She cared nothing for customer service and doesn't understand how to run a spa. Keeping things clean and operable are just the basics, and she could not even achieve that.
Needless to say, I will not return. I am sure the spa was fabulous in its heyday, but those days are long-gone.
