  • I've been to Luxy Nail Salon twice since they have a great yelp rating. It's one of the few nail salons in the city open past 7 PM which is very convenient... Overall, I've been satisfied with the outcome of my nails. Things to note: - Salon is not open 24/7. Hours are from 9:30 AM - 11 PM. They're flexible though and will take requests for earlier appointments - Gel polish (not manicure) is $25 if you have no gel on your nails. It's $30 if you have gels that they would need to soak off for you - Check in offer on yelp (20% off gel) is only valid before 7 PM and can be used an unlimited number of times The salon looks like a standard nail salon; bright, open, and empty with a handful of manicure and pedicure stations. They have huge obnoxious purple plush chairs at the manicure stations which are AWESOME and a decent selection of gel colors to choose from. The first time I went was late in the evening on a weekday. I had a young male do my nails... He took his time and it didn't feel at all rushed. My gels were close to my cuticles and the polish didn't chip for two weeks. The second time was early in the morning also on a weekday. I had one lady begin to do my nails and she swapped me over to the lady next to her when a guest walked in for an appointment to get a fill on her acrylics. My assumption was as there were the only two workers there, the lady doing my nails was the only one of the two who could do acrylics. It wasn't a big deal and my nails didn't turn out bad. I would say I was happier with the outcome my first time. Both times my polish didn't chip or peel. For the quality and the low cost, Luxy is a pretty decent nail salon! I want to give it a 3.5/5. It's not my first choice but if I wanted to get my nails done late at night I would come back.
