  • A few friends and I decided to check this quaint little bistro on Masson street for lunch on a weekday; they offer an inexpensive table d'hôte menu which includes an entree, main, dessert and coffee, and serve their breakfast menu all day! We arrived around 12:30 and the place was mostly full. The space is cozy and feels more like a pub, with the bar at the entrance and huge tv on the wall. We placed our order and waited... I started with a mixed green salad, followed by the salmon with grilled fennel and beets. Salad was good but nothing great; just a bowl of mixed greens like you can make at home. The main though was great, salmon was very well cooked and the vegetables were just perfect. Then came time for dessert which I declined, thankfully cause my friends waited forever! I politely paid and rushed back to work as lunch was already over 90 minutes in. As I paid, thinking they've forgotten the desserts at our table, to which I received a "our chef likes to make desserts that we bake on order". I never asked if the wait was worth it but if you're looking for a quick lunch spot, this ain't it, table d'hôte and all.. the food was good but nothing that will have me back for more, except for the price point!
