I was in the mood for breakfast while in Vegas on Tuesday. I didn't want to to try the restaurant in my hotel because the reviews weren't that great. I walked over to the Venetian hoping I could be there before they stopped serving breakfast. Ended up getting completely lost but found it with 4 mins to spare. I was seated right away. I have a table right next to the indoor gondola so I could see the gondolas passing and the gondoliers singing. Absolutely wonderful view and very romantic.
I ordered the Mexican Pancakes, which came with bacon, and breakfast potatoes. I also ordered a mimosa. The portion size of the pancakes was large. The potatoes were great. The bacon was cooked perfectly. The pancakes were... meh. They did taste homemade and the flavor of them were good but they were extremely dry. I used 3 servings of syrup and they still needed more. The mimosa was strong but good.
I enjoyed the ambiance and the service at Canonita but the food was nothing special. Maybe the lunch and dinner options are better but breakfast is not a good indication.
