Visited Asiana Market this past week because I wanted to get some hotpot ingredients. I usually shop at the bustling Mekong Supermarket in Mesa but being on the westside of town, I decided to try Asiana. I was shocked at the produce department--the bokchoi was wilted, the kabocha's were a strange color, everything just looked tired and old. I was scared to buy anything in the produce department since I wasn't sure how the turnaround time on the items were. I ended up buying the frozen shabu shabu meat which looked very pretty in their neat little rolls but turned out to be very tough and quite inedible. The rainbow trout however turned out to be fresh enough. I don't think I'll be shopping here again.
