  • Perhaps my disdain for Phoenix Sky Harbor is bleeding over into the big US Airways carrier there, but I'm hardly enthused about the joint. Firstly, it always seems that they can't pull it together. Southwest suffers this same fate here, so perhaps it really is the curse of the airport, but my gates always change, things are always delayed, and that's a serious pain at PHX. What I do like is that you've got plenty of options. As noted, they are indeed a big carrier at this 'port, so you've got a bunch of departures and arrivals to choose from, and you can link up to a lot of places across the US. Are they my favorite carrier? Hardly. Kinda chintzy. But they sometimes win the price/convenience war and they're not so bad that you won't take them up on saving a few bucks every so often in PHX.
