| - Don't sign a contract. Rent may look cheap but after you add the entire buildings collective utility bill, it amounts to hundreds more. You can't run AC at any time during fall and winter, even when it's hot and warming up your apartment. Haven't turned on your heater all winter? Too bad, your utilities bill is still going to be just as high as summer because your neighbors like to blast their heating units. Expect to have things stolen from your laundry. Underwear and other intimate items are the most common. Also get used to seeing homeless people digging in your dumpster while you're trying to walk your dog. The free orbit bus happens to stop on our street, so panhandlers begging for cigarettes and loitering around your place frequently will become a routine. Prepare yourself to not have any hot water multiple times each month because of "necessary repairs" which certainly don't seem to be working if the repairs are continuing to happen at the same units so frequently. Our unit has sprung a leak from the AC unit in the ceiling and onto the carpet over half a dozen times. Every time the leak occurs they say it is fixed, but the problem reappears soon after. A few months ago, in the middle of the night, every car in the furthest point of the parking lot was severely damaged and required an extensive amount of repairs. We were informed as we were signing the lease that we should not expect to get our deposit back. We can not wait to move out. Spend your money elsewhere where you won't be wasting a pretty penny for the bare minimum.
This just happened and I had to include it. We had a leak coming from the sink which completely soaked the goods underneath, not to mention the wood of the cabinet. I called the front desk, reported the problem, and was informed someone would come to fix it today. We had to kennel our dog in anticipation of the repair man, after 10 hours of our dog being confined, they don't show up. This is now the second time we've called in a repair regarding a water leak, where nobody ever showed up. I've waited all day both times this has happened. Good luck getting anything fixed permanently, let alone a temporary fix. This place is awful. Do NOT move in here.
