So when I first heard about this zipline being built I was pretty intrigued. But like many things I always wait until they work out the bugs and kinks before I give it a shot. Also reading the reviews gave me some insight on what to expect before arriving. I'm happy to report that I was very pleased with my entire experience and the girl I brought with me was very impressed.
We went around 8pm on a Wednesday and it was a beautiful day and perfect time to go. The staff checking us in was very friendly and helpful and we only had to wait in a line of about 6 people ahead of us. I love that they use the Voodoo Lounge as the entrance to the attraction because it is such a cool venue to snap some pics for social media. I also loved that we weren't rushed to get on the zipline and could hang out in Voddoo lounge and get on the zipline at our own leisure. Both before and after our ride we were hanging out and enjoying the beautiful night time view and bobbing our heads to the live DJ. That was also a nice touch.
The ride itself doesn't last very long but that was to be expected. I'm just glad they pull you back to the tower you started on and don't make you enter and exit two totally different towers. Having just a lap strap made my guest a little scared but this worked out to my benefit because she held me tightly as we cruised to the other tower. Our video turned out great and we even ended up getting two different photo shots printed out to take home. I have not been on the Ferris wheel yet but I don't see any reason why I would pick that or the downtown zipline over this unless a guest specifically requested it. This is my new go-to attraction to recommend to tourists or to take visiting family to.
