| - Been going to this office since my son was born. Was disappointed that Dr. B did not go visit my child at the hospital where he was in the NICU for 5 days. He did do a great job on his circumsicion and showed great care when doing it which I appreciate. I eventually started seeing PA Dr. Wood. She really takes her time with us and is generally very caring. She is the main reason I have stayed with this office. Yes, the waits are long, but where in Vegas are you going to find a pediatrician without a long wait? I would like to know of one. And if they do not have a wait. WHY? Do they spend 5 seconds with your child? I have been to this office and sat in a room with my wheezing child that had RSV for 3 hours to do back to back breathing treatments because they did not want to release him cause he was doing so bad. Yea, I took a room but there are times I have waited 1.5 hours to see the doctor for a well visit. I have had a pretty descent time with the nurses. They have all been very pleasant to us.
The front desk on the other hand... Well I have had some issues. They referred me to a HORRIBLE ENT doctor to have a consult for a tongue tie issue. I was with a 2 week year old baby with a horrible ENT that did not even do tongue tie procedures and pretty much laughed at me. I immediately advised the front desk and they said they would not refer him anymore. I eventually got referred to a pediatric dentist in Summerlin by a friend who did a fantastic job. The problem is that I did not get it done until 3 weeks later and it severely effected breast feeding. Also, I did not feel Dr. B supported breastfeeding. I asked him multiple times for advise and he referred me to a lactation consultant. I get he is a man, but he is a pediatrician and should be able to give SOME advise. Another front desk issue, I had to pay for my visit out of pocket at the 1st of the year because I had an insurance change. When I went back in for a follow up, I asked them if they could re bill the insurance as the issue was fixed with it and they gave me a number for billing. Annoying that it could not just be done. It does not sound that hard.
For now, I will continue to go, but may switch soon as my soon as a bad breathing issues which I may need a specialist or someone with more experience on the issue. Overall, as I said before, Dr. Wood rocks and see her if you can.
