  • This practice was recommended by my regular vet, Dr. Tan (of Leo Veterinary). Dr Tan's current practice doesn't include surgery which one of my dogs needed. The vets at Canyon are Drs. Lori & Kelly Hehn, both good friends of my regular vet. Our 8 year old rescued Corkie, a sweet girl named Julie, needed to have a cyst on her head removed, oronasal fistulas closed, and a leftover mammary tumor biopsied. The consult was no charge, the bill was amazingly affordable for all the work involved, and when I discovered a lump 2-3 days later on the side of her face the follow up vist (including draining this new cyst) was no charge. Dr. Lori was patient explaining everything and discussing Julie's aftercare and the subsequent cyst. When I returned to have Julie's stitches removed she was treated with the same care and tenderness that she has been shown all along. And Dr. Lori was thrilled that her oronasal fistulas had closed so nicely. From the bill it's apparent to me that the Hehns are not in this profession to get rich but because of their profound care and love of animals. And while I have yet to meet Dr. Kelly, I did speak to him when Julie's pathology report came in (benign), and it's apparent he has a great love for his work, just as his wife, Dr. Lori does. I expect to continue to come here for any treatment that Dr. Tan's practice isn't equipped to provide and if they treat all their clients like this they're going to need a larger space very soon! Awesome vet practice, highly recommended.
