  • My hubby and I visited the Old Firehall Confectionary while strolling through Unionville. It certainly was not a disappointment with glass cases brimming over with beautifully decorated truffles, delectable pastries, tarts, fudge slices and of course,.......french macaroons! There were quite a selection to choose from: hazelnut praline, green tea, raspberry, lavender (which was my favourite!), mocha, lemon, etc. They were fresh (melting in your mouth) and not too sweet, so you could enjoy a few without going into sugar shock. The fudge slices were creamy and true to flavour. The only drawback were the gummy candies we had purchased, they were a bit stale. But ah well.....would definitely go back for more of their sweet treats.
