To say the customer experience and service is dismal is being nice. Pretty confident the 1 star reviews are accurate... geezus dont get "Pearl Packed" .....it hurts..
My Previous actual wash experience was approx 5 years ago. Apparently reading the most recent reviews of others I see a clean car is about as common as an actual mermaid and nothing has changed.
My last wash left dirt all up and down our vehicle- much more than a simple wipe. They refused to run it through the wash a second time and began to litterly WIPE! the dirt on the paint! After stopping them and telling a manager that never cared and told me I would have to buy another wash - we never returned... 3 words..... "mister car wash".
My current experience is with trying to renew a wash card as a gift for an employee (they insisted on mermaid due to their location). First I look online to find hours / some crazy website which later I learn is not theirs appears. Actually I was told they dont even have a website..? Ok I thought it was 2018.? Did I get warped back to the 80's?
Then only one person could accept a credit card payment over the phone for renewal. Problem is they were never around so multiple attempts, days and calls later finally got it renewed.
It astonishes me how a business like a car wash can operate without a simple website or own a google places page in todays current marketplace. Well.. since they don't have a website they probably don't know what yelp is either...
I will continue with Mister Car Wash and receive excellent customer service and pricing.
In defense of Mermaid I have always loved the parrots in the lobby... since they hang around daily - maybe they can teach them how to accept credit cards and do renewals .... heck they might be able to answer the phone...
