I'm not one to complain... although every time I stop in while walking the dog, I am hassled... I usually leave him to sit outside, but each and every time the staff will comment on him being outside and will continually open the door petting him and encouraging him to come in... one would assume that no dogs are allowed because of the food they sell within the store... I totally get it. It's their comments that make me feel unwelcome and uneasy because they'll go on and on and say things like... Omg is he going to run away?... Can he come in? Is he OKAY?!? ... Oh poor baby!! Come see this dog!... - Seriously, it's quite the spectacle. It's happened the last 10 times I've shopped there. They make me feel like I'm a bad dog owner... and I don't know why. Perhaps, I should mention the dog it tied up - What is this store's problem?
Today, I decided to avoid all of this and bring the dog in and tie him to the door on the inside... to avoid the unwanted attention. Of course, the first thing out of their mouth is... Uh, sorry no dogs allowed. I then put him back outside and as soon as I'm at the cash register paying... again one of the other girls starts with... Omg is he going to run away? Awww why is he outside? ...
I am pretty frustrated and am starting to think I should avoid this store all together. I wish I could simply pick up what I needed and leave. This store seems to have an unhealthy obsession with dogs. Is part of their interview process to be crazy dog fanatics? It's getting ridiculous.
