  • In the middle of the only snow storm we've seen to date this season I found myself traveling south-east to Maria Giallanza Salon. I knew that a mani-pedi was in my near future and the promise of a few hours of pampering and trash mags were all the motivation I needed to get out of the house. I had made the appointment over a month in advance (they seem to book up quite early for Saturday slots) and a little inclimate weather wasn't going to keep me from taking advantage of my day of beauty! If not for Groupon, I may not have tried this salon, quite honestly. But I'm glad that I did. The staff was friendly and Laura gave a wonderful pedicure (perhaps the best I've had in years). The space is relaxed and sweetly perfumed from Aveda products (which they rep rather heavily). I also appreciated their "no tip" policy - a nice final surprise!
