Yesterday was my first time visiting a David's Tea shop. I'm a longtime fan of Teaopia and a self confessed tea snob.
Having not visited any other locations I can't really do a valid comparison, so this review is based solely on this location in particular.
As soon as we walked in, one of the girls behind the counter cheerfully offered us some tea samples which consisted of a shot glass-sized portion of hot tea that they had on hand.
I told her I was interested in some of the white tea I had seen on their website the night before and she promptly started gathering them and putting them on the counter so I could smell each one and decide which to purchase.
She explained every question we asked expertly and seemed so incredibly happy to be there and do her job. I actually commented to her that she seemed to love her job - very helpful and friendly staff at this location.
The only reason I didn't give this 5/5 stars is because of the size of this location - it's positively tiny. I don't know that they have all the products available online or at their other stores. It gets crowded and cramped pretty easily in there.
Outside of that, proclaim yourself a tea snob and drop the tea bag - go shop at Davids Tea and revel in the warmth and comfort of a good cup of tea on a rainy day.
