The Dove shampoo and hairspray was all advertised at $4.99 upstairs. So I grabbed the one I wanted and looked back at the sale ticket to compare and make sure I got the right one. I brought it to the checkout and she rang it up and it was $7.99. I told her it was on sale for $4.99 so she asked one of the clerks to go and check. He came back a few minutes later and said that no it wasn't on sale, it was $7.99. So I personally went upstairs with him to show him the huge shelf that was stacked with all the Dove products on sale. The sign said $4.99. He started scanning all the products, claiming that that couldn't be correct. After a few minutes of him looking at all the products and the sale sign, he realized that at the very bottom in the tiniest font it said the sale was valid until June 8th (it is June 12th today). He went off on me about how they include that because they assume people can read and I should have known the sale was no longer valid. He said it was a big store and they don't always remove sale signs on time. He said he wasn't the store manager and he couldn't just give discounts to anyone that asked for them. He spoke like this for over a minute to me to the point where I was very uncomfortable, said thanks and left. Side note: I've worked in customer service for 6+ years and I'm always very friendly, but I'm also an avid bargain hunter and love getting a good deal, and love Dove products. Wouldn't return to this location.
