  • It was a bit of a roller coaster, up and down. The seafoods were well executed, and their natural freshness and sweetness was allowed to shine. However, many of the more flavourful sauces (eg. in the pudding, the sauce of the mushrooms in the chawanmushi) overpowered some of the dishes. From a food perspective, I give them a 7/10 because I did expect more. From the service side of things, I have no complaints. When I wanted to know a little more about the fresh yuzu that was being zested over the fish, the chef serving us was happy to explain. Our server never hovered, yet still managed to be attentive; regularly refilling our water glasses, changing our cutlery, and checking in on our drink orders as necessary. We were never rushed after paying the bill, yet somehow as soon as I was ready to leave, he was standing there with my jacket. 9/10 for service and ambiance.
