  • The reviews here say it all, but I'll add my sad story to the mix. Beware: They will tell you they are under new management. From what I've read of the old reviews, nothing has changed. I think the head manager may even be the same (her name is posted in an earlier review). My husband and I were elated to find out we were approved for an apartment here; most reasonable rent in the area, and it doesn't look half bad at first glance. Things that should have been red flags: 1. No one will give you a hard copy of your lease or go over it with you. 2. Their office is small, and though it's newly remodeled (I have a theory about where they got their money for it), you can tell right away they're understaffed. We were told on move-in day that our rent includes a separate fee for an entertainment package through Dish: cable and Internet. Awesome, right? Well, it took three months for JUST the cable to be installed, and sure enough, we were charged for it the whole time. I'm sure that if my husband hadn't called, emailed, and visited the office multiple times, we never would have gotten that money back. Finally, he requested a meeting with the head manager (who, by the way, broke that appointment twice before he was finally able to see her). After he told her he'd been repeatedly lied to by the staff about when the services would be available (not their fault, I assume-- I get the feeling no one tells them anything), he let her know he'd tried hooking up our cable and it wasn't working. She assured him she'd personally see to it that a technician was sent to our apartment to fix it. Never happened. When we tried to get a credit back for the three MORE months we spent without cable, we were informed by the assistant manager that we wouldn't be seeing that money, since it was our fault for not hounding them more. "You wouldn't stop calling if your refrigerator wasn't working!" was his example. I'm sorry, I have a life. I have a job. If I took the time it takes to hound these people, I'd never go to work. How about fixing it when you say you're going to? When your HEAD MANAGER says she's going to? My final grievance comes with their rent policy. Here, you are required to give 60 days' notice before you move out. Not unusual for the Valley. However, when I asked at move-in what we needed to do in order to move out, I was told that the lease would naturally terminate May 30th. I knew we would be leaving before that, but I was happy to pay through that date per our 6-month lease agreement. On April 15th, the lease renewal offers went out... TWO WEEKS after we were required to give notice as to what we want to do with our lease. I put in our move-out notice April 19th, and was promptly (for once) informed that since my notice was late, I was liable for rent through June 19th. What?? Sorry I gave late notice to your late renewal offer...? So now I'm being charged a month-to-month rate for most of June, to the tune of $500. Thanks, Sierra. I emailed twice asking who I could speak to about this, and after no response finally went to the office to make an appointment with a manager AGAIN (because that's the thing; they give the lower-level management no authority to help you with anything to do with your bill, and good f***ing luck getting a manager to actually sit down with you). I was livid, but I kept my cool. My request for an appointment was written down for Cory (Cody? I have no idea-- I might if he'd call me back) and here I am two days later having heard nothing, yet again. He's probably sick to death of us pestering him. Sorry Cory, I thought that's what I was supposed to do?? It's all on me, right?? tldr; DO NOT rent from these people. Pay the extra $100 a month for a better complex. It's worth it to spare yourself the nightmare of dealing with these lying, unprofessional people.
