| - Don't get me wrong, the food was great! But the service was lacking.
My friends and I went at around 8:30 pm for our reservation and were seated promptly. For our party of 7, the waitress only gave us 3 menus and no water. We had to keep flagging her or any other worker down to remind them to bring us more and also glasses of water. It seemed like she was the only waitress on the floor; she could use a little help! We had to keep calling servers over to take our order, as none seemed to approach us.
Tip: order the okonomiyaki first. It takes 25 min to make, but it's worth it! Also, the Hiroshimayaki is another dish that takes a while to make, but it tasted pretty similar to the okonomiyaki so just pick one!
The wait time for the food was not bad as the servers brought out the dishes when they were ready. The portion sizes and flavor were impressive. I'm pleasantly surprised to have found a decent Japanese restaurant in Pittsburgh! The prices weren't too bad either, although one cup of green tea was $2, so I'd be wary of that.
Other than the experience with the servers, everything was up to par. I would come back for the food, maybe order through grubhub or postmates, but maybe not so much for the service.
