  • First time here and gotta say I was impressed! For a place located in Chinatown the place is quite big, modern, clean, and just different from the rest of Chinatown. My mom came here with her friends before and she wanted to come back for Mother's Day lunch. We came in around 11am and was seated immediately, our drinks were taken quickly and the server came over to greet Happy Mother's Day and told us about their specials for the day. We got a bunch of stuff to share and pretty much liked everything we ordered, some were more impressive than others but not a single bad tasting dish. First of all I was so impressed with how quick the food came out, we literally did not even wait 10 minutes after putting in our order before the food started coming out. We got half dozen oysters just plain and half with their special sauce, oysters were cold and delicious, sweet and their homemade sauce was really good, not too strong to where it over powered the freshness of the oysters. We got the Vietnamese beef carpaccio and WOW that was so good!! I'm usually not a fan of raw beef but this was sliced super thing, the sauce was sour and salty, the fried onions on top, everything just worked! We got oxtail fries and oh boy was that good! Drowned in delicious gravy with lots of oxtail meat and an egg on top, probably the best oxtail fries I have ever had (better than the one at Bachi). We also got sea snails which my dad really liked. My sister go the Lobster Pho and said the broth was a little too salty, she added limes and stuff and its as ok. Everyone came to try the lobster pho but for $50 I don't think it was worth it. It didn't taste bad by any means but the only special thing about the pho was the lobster. Their special for Mother's Day was lobster fried rice, now this was worth it! The fried rice obviously had lobster, eggs, fish eggs, the sauce was amazing, it looked amazing, smelled amazing and tasted amazing!! Everyone enjoyed this dish. My brother got oxtail fried rice and this was really good, a little bland compared to the lobster fried rice but I like it, a healthier and lighter option. I got the bird's nest crispy noodles, I love the way they fried the noodles, so crispy and delicious. I also liked that they did not drown the noodles in too much sauce, the noodles was still crispy towards the end of the meal. I do think their sauce was a little too salty for my taste, but overall still good. Overall I really liked the food, they have some unique dishes that really caught my attention. Service was great, drinks were constantly re-filled, they picked up dirty plates and offered to switch out our dirty plates during the meal, everyone was very friendly and attentive. Price point is not crazy either, the whole meal was only pricy because of the lobster pho and lobster fried rice, without those two dishes the check would have been a little over $100 for 5 or 6 dishes! Will definitely come back to try other dishes and re-order a few!!
