This was a fun outing. We walked into pod 12, grabbed a seat, then enjoyed the view of the Strip, bathed in the dying light of day. Unlike a ferris wheel, the High Roller's climate-controlled pods allow one to walk around and check out the views from whatever angle one wants. It is difficult to discern movement at all, since the High Roller rotates so slowly. The entire 30 minute revolution is accompanied by a virtual guide, projected onto the TV screens inside the pod. (Lots of corny jokes!) Apex of the ride is 550 feet. Drinks and snacks available prior to boarding and are stupid expensive, but if that's your thing, then have at it. Prices are $25/person during the day and $35/person at night (I believe "night" prices start at 7pm?). If you can afford to go at night, that's when I'd go, as it's pretty cool to see the sunset and night lights of the Strip.
