I was disappointed in this Hyatt Place. It was clear from the sign in the lobby that the hotel is or will be undergoing a renovation (by June 2018?), but unfortunately our room was not one of the renovated ones. It felt dingy- the carpet had a long burn/wear mark and the water did not drain well from the sink. The soundproofing was poor - especially through the door, and lighting in the bathroom was very dim. As for service, we are hyatt gold passport members and used our hyatt credit card, but I had to ask the front desk if bottled water was available to us as at other Hyatt Places. This simple reminder of our benefit would have been an easy way for the front desk to show some hospitality, but hospitality here was lacking. The $22/day parking fee is another negative. The clear attraction of this hotel is its close proximity to the stadiums - but we go to Pittsburgh to visit our daughter at school so we won't be staying here again. The south side Hyatt Place is much nicer, imo!
