| - I had a chance to visit this intimate spa the last time I was in Vegas. I stayed at the Linq also. I will have to admit that this spa wasn't on my radar at all. I am a huge spa junkie but you hear more about other spas alot more...big names like Spa at encore, and Aria spa (check my #spawithme list for all other reviews). Since this is my first stay at the Linq hotel, of course I used Yelp to see what to expect first! You also see alot of signage around the hotel about the #cravethecave--- It's a himalayan salt they have in their spa--a salt cave that I have experienced else where before....but the all-access pass to all the spa amentities is just $20! Why not? And it's only $10 extra if you want to experience the salt cave. They do say call ahead and get a designated time and I think it was 30 mins I spent in there. More on that later... They were able to get me in same day since it was a weekday.
I went towards the end of the spa day, so it was really empty except for a handful of ladies. It is a smaller size spa with the basics: steam room, locker room, relaxation lounge area (that could fit maybe 5 total), and a whirlpool and the salt cave. It is not a fancy pants spa, but it served its purpose. Don't forget to move your "intention" stone at the entrance. Girl at check in was ok, she told me someone would come get me. I waited and no one came so I just walked in and found someone. It has a modern chic feel. Everything looked clean so I was comfortable enough to relax.
I personally would prefer the water in the whirpool to be hotter so I spend alot of time in the steam room. It was hot and they had iced towels with iced cucumbers right outside. They only have one water station in the relaxation lounge area with a "water bar." It features a water elixir bar you can add to your water for different health purpose. They have different labels that will tell you which one to add depending on what you "need." They also have coffee. The salt cave is a small squarish room with lounge chairs inside. I am REALLY glad I was only in there with one other lady since it was not busy. Because judging from all the chairs in there, it would be uncomfortable to be inside with such a crowd. Blocks of himalayan salt filled the entire room. I breathe in deep and tried to reap the benefits of the salt into my body. But if you been in other salt rooms, honestly there is nothing different here.
I thought it was clean, great price for a quick de-stresser at the hotel. Great if you are staying in the Linq and do not want to walk far back to your room in the Vegas heat. They have all the amendities for you to get ready and go if you are going directly out for the night. If you want the wow factor I would suggest looking into another spa on the strip :)
