| - I would like to respond to Lindsey P. who posted the complaint, under Grandview Of Las Vegas. First of all Lindsey, you wanted something for nothing, right? We all know that doesn't exist! Also contrary to your unfavorable review and experience at the presentation, I sold Timeshare for Grandview for a couple of years. I have around 200+ satisfied owners, out vacationing with their ownership & loving every minute of it!! Maybe they weren't so "hung over" when they attended the presentation and were able to get more out of it!! If you knew anything about owning your vacations, you would know, that the Payment that you were talking about and were so exasperated with, goes away someday and then you OWN your Vacations, for the rest of your life, your children's lives and your grandchildren's lives, it's perpetuity. It's a very small price to pay, for everyone's lifetime of vacations, don't you think? While we are on the subject of money, you mentioned the maintenance fee. This fee will be present in your life, whether you rent or own your vacations and it is one of the biggest hurdles for people to mentally get over. A maintenance fee consists of what you would pay, if you were renting a hotel room or paying your yearly maintenance fees. Fees no one can get around because "we the people" don't regulate some of them and the rest of them help to care for your property, so it is just as nice, the day you buy it, as when you go back 20 years later! Someone has to MAINTAIN IT. Just like that hotel bill you pay, you don't think there are some "maintenance fees" build into that puppy? You bet there are, they just don't tell you what you are paying for and you are not paying to care for YOUR OWN PROPERTY, YOU ARE PAYING TO CARE FOR THERE'S! So the rich get richer, while you pay your bill, drive away and wave goodbye, to your money! Ah yes, who wants to own one of those ridiculous TIMESHARES? Vacation your WHOLE LIFETIME, PASS IT DOWN TO YOUR CHILDREN, THEIR CHILDREN AND ON & ON, IT'S BEEN PAID FOR FOR YEARS, AND ALL YOUR RESPONSIBLE FOR IS THE YEARLY MAINTENANCE, which will run you anywhere from $450.00 to $950 (depending on the amount of time you can travel and the quality of the Timeshare. I've seen more expensive ones also, but for good reason, obviously.) This should give you at least 2 weeks of travel, so divide that number in 2. The Grandview is 5 Star so you can go to any place that is 5 star, Hawaii, Caribbean, Greece, Italy, Alabama, you get the idea!! So a middle of the road is $700.00 a year for a maintenance fee, divide by 2 = $350.00 per week. If you went to "nice" Hotel, it's probably going to cost you "at least" $150.00 per night, Motel 6, is $69.00, close to the strip! Anyway. You stay 7 nights, a real vacation timeframe, hypothetical, you don't have to, taxes alone, will run you 10 to 13% or more, for hotel tax. Check your bill, next time...That's $137.00, just for the tax!! You haven't paid those weird surcharges they add on your bill, I have no idea what those are for? Do you? Not to mention, parking fee's, the new resort fees, and I have been to a couple of hotels that MADE me Valet Park & pay for it, because they didn't have enough room or land, for parking, for their guests!! Believe me, unless you have taken your LAST VACATION EVER, you will ALWAYS PAY some form of maintenance fees! I am just soooo relieved that, that Lindsey and her fiancé walked away from such a hideous product!! Trust me, if she would of bought it, she would of had no time for writing a complaint on Yelp, she would of been out having FUN ON VACATION!!! Congratulations to ALL OF YOU, THAT ARE SMART & SAVVY TIMESHARE OWNERS!!! Good for you!!!!! Enjoy each & everyone of your lifetime of Vacations, you deserve it!!!!!!
