After having my first baby I needed a new swim suit for a vacation with my little one. Still nursing, I wanted a suit that would support an ample chest. I went to sandpipers in yorkville two months after having my baby and bought a great suit and found the staff to be very helpful and kind during a time that was vulnerable for me. I couldn't make it downtown this time, and that suit was now too big, so I went to the yonge location.
The sales people made me feel like there was something wrong with me. I was told that I was difficult to fit because of my post-partum proportions (large chest on a size 8-10 body). I tried on about 20+ suits, none of which fit properly. The saleslady made a comment about how hard bathing suit shopping is when you're carrying extra weight, which I found insensitive and rude (not to mention, inaccurate). I left the store in tears with no suit. And I will never be returning here - even once I'm done nursing.
