| - tldr: This experience was thoroughly dynamite, and I'll certainly be a repeat customer.
My wife made an appointment for our pug, who generally doesn't require a whole lot of bells and whistles with groomers -- a standard bath and de-shedding treatment, nail trim, and gland expression (my dog and I have boundaries), is typically all he needs.
After filling out a bit of very professionally organized and presented paperwork, it was reemphasized to me that I would need to pick up my dog within thirty minutes after his grooming was finished (the grooming was estimated to take about an hour), since FoF is cage-free and effectively a big open room. They promptly finished when they said they would, and my pugger was still as happy as he was when I brought him in.
All in all, we'll certainly bring him back in. These ladies were courteous, fawned over my pup (who DOESN'T love that), and were quick. I've previously had issues with groomers not following through on the timetables they projected -- 1. I hate knowing that my dog's in a kennel (he's got a little bit of rescue trauma), and 2. I plan my day around errands like these, so knowing things like when I'll need to be back to pick him up is important.
Fields of Fur gets bonus points for geekin' -- our dog's named after a minor sci-fi character, and on their appointments whiteboard by the reception desk, they had scrawled in one of this character's few (but memorable) movie lines next to his name. A+
