As someone with little knowledge on car maintenance, it is really important for me to go to a honest mechanic. Unfortunately, I was ripped off and they denied to price match despite having a price match policy.

I had staggered performance tires that were wearing off a bit faster than I liked (also purchased at Superior previously). I asked the store manager for his recommendation on tires that would last a bit longer, since I really don't drive in a way that requires the "performance" element. The tires that he recommended were $250 a piece, but he said that the price was really good for what I was going to get. I trusted that he was more knowledgeable and was offering me a fair price and solid product. He then said that the tires were in an offsite warehouse and he'd have it the next day. I was required to prepay for the tires since they were offsite. Sure no big deal (at least I thought so).
When I brought my car in the next day, I thought to ask for the tire's model to see how they were rated online. It was shocked to see that they retailed for less than half of what Superior Tire was charging me! So I looked on the store's website and it said that they have a price match guarantee. I told the store manager that they were charging me more than double retail price. He said that price match only applied to the inventory in store. I had prepaid for their recommend tires, so I was SOL. He then tried to mansplain to me how their tires were better than than everyone else's inventory, even though they were the exact same model.
That's the last time I went to Superior Tire. I would be very careful about doing business with them!
