Kohl's has always been an alternative to the Mall, Target or Kmart for me. It's not as large, but they have always had what I am going there for. Over the years, I have gotten some pretty terrific deals when shopping there, especially during the holidays.
Today though, I was surprised at the checkout. The cashier told me there are no Kohl's bucks for my purchase. Maybe I was always shopping during the weeks they gave out Kohl's bucks and just assumed it was something that they did all the time. The cashier told me that they only give out Kohl's bucks every other week and that they can be redeemed on the week following the week they were earned. I never heard of this policy before so the cashier called over his manager to tell me the same thing.
From now on, I'll just have to go elsewhere during the weeks they don't offer Kohl's bucks and I will likely find a department store that will want me to come shop at their store any week rather than every other week. What a way to push customers away Kohl's. If this isn't the way Kohl's bucks are supposed to be earned. Someone needs to let the staff know and post this information someplace so customers will know not to expect any Kohl's bucks on the off weeks.
