Chalkers is a decent pool hall. It looks like it hasn't been renovated in about 30 years but the tables are of decent quality and there are lots of seats around each table. There are also lots of TV's and a small area to host a private event. We had the Thai Spring Rolls and the Prime Burger and both were very good.
We were there during the holidays and there was one waiter serving the whole place. Although we would have preferred the service to be a bit more attentive, it was easy walking up to the bar to make a request. Our waiter, when he did show up was very good and also offered to put the table on hold, time wise, while we ate our meal.
The bill for 3 hours of pool, 2 beers, 2 glasses of wine, appetizer and a main was very good at $70. While the tables look like they had been upgraded, the ball sets were not. But that was not an issue.
Overall, with the low level of quality pool halls in the GTA, Chalkers is a good spot.
