I have been wanting to try this ramen shop since it opened in my neighbourhood. Finally, I had a chance to stop by for lunch on a weekday. I arrived around 12:30 pm and it wasn't busy inside. There were only about 10 customers inside. The interior was nice and I took a seat at their bar. I like to see the cook's skill in preparing the ramen. But to my surprise all the cooks and waiter were Hispanics with the exception of the hostess who was Asian female. Stepping into a Japanese ramen joint, I expected that the cook(s) would be Japanese. Maybe I am just too traditional. So, even though I was skeptical, I was interested to see how authentic they could prepare the ramen bowl. I only order their Tonkotsu ramen as I wasn't all that hungry. I must say that I wasn't impressed. For $8.95 + tax, you get one small piece of char siu in the bowl and no ajitsuku tamago (egg). The broth was nothing special as it was not rich and creamy. The presentation was just meh.
I wasn't too happy that I could not pay with a credit card as I had to spend over $10 to use a credit card. When I left, no one said one word to me. No bye, no thank you!?! This place is so not typical of a Japanese ramen joint, where their staff are usually very polite and thankful. My verdict, I definitely will not be going back to this place.
