| - This has got to be one of my WORST shopping experiences in the city. Two incidents come to mind.
I wanted to buy the new PC Sims 3 expansion pack for my niece for Christmas, so my partner called (knowing more about the gaming world than I) and asked about the availability of the expansion that puts pets in your game. He also called the EB closer to us, as well as Wal-Mart and I believe we looked online at FutureShop, all of which carried the game. However when we called the store on Queen Street, not only did they have pets, they told us that at the moment all of their PC games were buy 1 and get one free! Whats better than getting one present for XMAS? Two! i was very excited and we went to pick up the games as soon as we got off the phone, and me naively thinking that I would get my shopping done and save some money too! Big mistake, as it was not until we were at the cash paying that we found out that the sale had actually ended the day before.
You may be thinking it was a simple mistake....and so did we until the next time when my partner and I wanted to buy a Wii. Again we called around, and the Queen West EB Games over the phone claimed to have like 4 different package options which sounded good. When we got there 30 minutes later, they had 1 type of package and they were out of controllers, which I think if I worked there i would mention to anyone coming into buy a Wii, and maybe suggest they come in a few days and not waste their time. To me the issue isn't that they don't have the product, it is that they misrepresent themselves to get you into the store.
I agree, I wish I could give less than 1 star.
I am never entering that location again.
