I have been a member of Blast Fitness for a little over 2 years. The gym at Union Hills and staff are great. The corporate policy to cancel your membership is both cumbersome and problematic.
I sent an email with all my information and a note requesting membership cancellation. 2 days later I received an email stating that I had to physically be present at the gym to cancel my membership. A couple of days later, I went to the gym and was given a "Request for Membership Cancellation" that I needed to fill out. Upon filling out the form, the attendant copied it, kept the original, and gave me a copy with specific instructions on how to send it to ABC Financial Services for review! I asked why they could not do it and was told that's not the way we do things. I have sent the required email to customercare@abcfinancial.com and am awaiting my request to be reviewed and processed. Maybe I am being petty, but it just should not be this difficult.
Again, the Union Hill gym and most of the staff are great. The corporate people need to give the gym people more authorization to handle cancellations.
