| - After reading these reviews, I get it that Hertz does not care about customer service. They must have more business than they can handle. Like other reviewers here, I had major problems with a woman named Shawn Frazee who claimed to be a customer service rep, although to other reviewers here she evidently claims to be the manager. I had contacted another Scottsdale location earlier, but they referred me to this location as a better alternative with better prices. Wow, an alternative to what? Hell in hell? Eating glass? Poking needles in my eyes? Even those things would have been better. Shawn left me on hold for 25 minutes, then picked up and put me on hold again as I was right in the middle of a sentence. I waited another 5 minutes on hold, then she picked up and did the same thing again, just put me on hold in the middle of a question. She was quoting me prices that were far above what I was seeing online, even on the corporate website. When I questioned her about that, she said "please hold" AGAIN, and disappeared for over 10 minutes. I called back again, and she told me that she had to step out of the office for a few minutes. She stepped out in the middle of a conversation with a customer who she has now had on hold off and on for an hour? I asked her how long I would have to wait for a car if I did rent from her, and she said "I don't know" and hung up on me. Of course, by now I am royally pissed and ask for her name, which she provided as Shawn Frazee. She would not give me anything but the name "Conor" as her manager, and she's hanging up on me when I call back, after leaving the phone ring and ring and ring, so evidently, no one can get through. Anything, but Shawn doing her job! At one point of the endless ringing I called back on another line, and she answered the phone in a different voice. So far, I've heard 3 different voices. Ultimately, rather than just do her job and provide customer service, she told me that she is very sorry, but Hertz cannot serve my needs. I am not finished with this person, she isn't just a bad customer service rep or whatever she is, she's a bad human being. No one should go through all that in order to patronize a business. I don't know what is wrong with Shawn or whoever supervises her, but it's clear that she is there for her own benefit, and couldn't care less about customers. I'm wondering why she still has a job after reading all these reviews, but that brings up some ugly imagery, so I'll go bleach my brain right now and call AVIS. I'll hunt down the manager of that location and have a chat with whoever it is in person, in the interest of the sanity of whoever else has the misfortune to encounter this person or this business. Unreal! Whatever you do, don't go there!!
