Nys is DANGEROUS and the worst sports organization that you can go with. This is the first tine we used them.We put our son in the 11 to 12 year tackle football. For the most part it was what one would expect from this age of tackle football. After the quarterback from my son's team was intentionally hurt by the the Lions we contacted the league to have the situation dealt with, as the coaches and the refs seemed to have no concern that this was happenning, almost as if the coaches of the other team were encouraging it. All we received was a phone call from a representative who was extremely rude and had no concern for the safety of the kids. He defended the other team who from other parents I have heard have a reputation for this kind of stuff, and put all the blame on our coach and our team. He said he saw the video and that it was a clean play but it was the video given from the other team. We have video showing the unnecessary violence that was perpetrated after the play was over. Even other parents that called said they were met with the same rudeness and defense of the other team. The child that was hurt may have to have pins put into his neck and has serious back issues after being targeted by the other team with the intent to hurt him.HE IS ONLY 12 YEARS OLD AND NOW MAY NEVER BE ABLE TO PLAY AGAIN!!!! This is what you get with NYS. Any complaint of safety should be considered legitimate and not met with aggression. These are not kids with 5 million dollar contracts, they are just kids playing a game. Competition is great but no reason a 12 year old CHILD SHOULD RISK BEING PARALYZED OVER A GAME AND THEN NOT HAVE THE LEAGUE TAKE IT SERIOUSLY. I only give them 1 star cause I have to.
