A great hotel with a full gym, indoor pool, 24 hour restaurant and very close to area attractions and tranportation options. Housekeeping noise around midday was an issue.
I had never been to Pittsburgh before and called the hotel to see the best way to get to the hotel. I usually never call but there airport was at least last 45 mins from the hotel. There bell capitan suggested getting a $45 taxi, town car both charge that for one way or a or $20 Super Shuttle. I thought he would have been more informed but he wasnt. I ended up finding on TripAdvisor that the city bus stops right IN FRONT of this hotel from the airport for $1.50!!! The bus was 30-45 mins late coming AND leaving but i arrived to the hotel before check in and made my departure flight out of PA on time.
Arrived to the hotel around 1pm and they quickly checked me in early. Thank goodness because inflight travel is tiring. Sadly, my room was in a location in the hallway where the housekeepers were doing timed trials of who can open the door the most and slam the door the hardest. I tried to take an afternoon nap but woke up with the WORST headache from all there chatter and door banging. It was floor 8. Never again taking the first room they give me.
The 24 hour gym was a nice amenity, but NONE of the tvs on the cardio equipment worked and the two huge tvs they had in there were blasting some tv show. The two huge tvs are behind you so they are more distracting than anything.
Overall, it was a nice stay and it was close to all major attractions by public bus and this hotel is very central if walking around the city and to local theaters.
