  • From beginning to end, our experience was a disaster. Originally me and 3 other girls were going to buy a groupon. When we called the spa owner, she asked if we could pay the groupon price in advance directly to her so she wouldn't have to pay the service charge to groupon. It made sense at the time. When we called to give our payment, it was so disorganized! The owner asked if we could text in our payment a few times, sometimes we would get a receptionist who had no idea even what group we were or what we were talking about. Then one of my friend's credit cards wasn't working because she has an american express which has a 4 digit code instead of 3, and the owner sent a fairly rude text about it. She also tried to have us add champagne and strawberries, thank God we declined because we saw the champagne in the cooler and it was a 2$ bottle (andre) she was trying to charge 20$ a person for a half bottle each. That should have been our first red flag, but since I have never bought a bad groupon we decided to proceed. So the day of we went to the wrong address because they still aren't updated on google maps. We called the owner and luckily her voice mail was updated with the new address. When we arrive (in a sketchy part of town) the sign in the window looks like it was done by a fifth grader with colored pencils. We go in and the carpets are dirty, there are things stacked everywhere. On the phone she made it seem like there would be a steam room, changing rooms, I was expecting a real day spa experience in a pretty, relaxing environment. The towel that my nails were done on was covered in stains. When they did our gel "manicure" they did NO manicuring, she just painted our nails in gel polish. No cuticle cutting, no lotion, no massage, no soaking or trimming. My other friend opted for a body wrap and facial. Her facial burned so bad she couldn't even handle the 5 minutes it was supposed to stay on. The body wrap was just heating pads that basically caused her to sweat for a half hour. Now, the ONLY good thing about this place was the female massage therapist. She did do a wonderful job. She needs to find a new place asap, as she is better than this place. My only complaint with her is whatever lotion or oil she used on me made me and my friend flaming red for 24 hours. I honestly kind of wish I spent the money on the champagne so I could've actually had a chance of relaxing at this filthy, ghetto little "day spa". Or maybe I could've gotten so drunk I wouldn't remember the experience. My expectations of a "Burke Williams" experience with trickling fountains, fruit-infused water, steam rooms, saunas and hot tubs may have been a bit too high, but they could've at least washed the towels. I am just glad I didn't see any used hypodermic needles laying around.
