One of our favorite restaurants. We left in 2008 and came back to more Firefly locations. We tried one of the new locations and hated it. We tried it again thinking it was a fluke and it was still terrible. Then the food poisoning happened. and while I would not wish that on any business, it has forced them to close the other locations and focus again on their main one.
This has allowed them to go back to doing what they did so well before. Although I wish they would bring out the bread, olives and honey almond butter like they used to. Now you have to ask for it. They have some new things on the menu now too like the Chicago beef sandwiches. Their flavors on that one are spot on. (I'm from Chicago, I can say that). The dates are to die for and
The things have have changed for the not so good are the mushroom tarts, filet sliders (now it's much cheaper meat) and ham and cheese croquets. Those are so bad that the inside is ground down to the consistency of baby food.
So it's all about knowing what to order.
