  • **I was told by the company that they aren't allowed to check the order before they take it for delivery. Please don't waste your time or money this company.** I was a bartender and server during graduate school, so I have a large tolerance for poor service. I'm not perfect, and I don't expect everyone else to be either. That's why I gave Foodie Call a THIRD chance after messing up my two previous food orders. I'm a busy mom and RN, and did not feel like cooking tonight, so I thought that maybe I would try them again, but included a special message that they have left out items on my two previous orders, so I would love it if they could really make sure that all sides and items I paid for are included. The delivery man showed up in a timely manner. I asked him if there was anything to sign after he handed my my bad, and he said no. I thought that was a bit unusual since I paid by card and it's usually required to have a signature, but maybe this is a new policy? I asked him if everything was there, and shrugged, said, "I don't know. Check when you get inside.", and began walking down the stairs. I began to check immediately, and saw through the opaque tops that a side was missing. I stopped him in the parking lot, and he admitted that he never checks the orders (he said he isn't allowed to - which I never knew) and he will be back in ten minutes. Thirty five minutes later, he still wasn't at my house. I had, in Foodie Call's defense spoken to two different people from their company and expressed my frustration at the lack of ability for their company to produce the order I paid for on three occasions. They said that they will speak to Leroy Fox and voice their complaints and try to get a refund. I am unsure of why this is? When I pay a company for a service that they do not provide (and tip a driver 20% for a service that he did not provide), I expect to at least be refunded the cost of the dish I did not receive, but Foodie Call has let me know that they will try, and that is it. I have had great experiences with Door Dash and Panera food delivery in Charlotte, and I would not waste my money or time with this one.
