  • Few years back got an eye exam, new lenses for two pairs of glasses (distance), a whole new set of computer glasses, and contacts. The contacts wound up not working for me at all, and after going back once or twice, I gave up and tossed them. For the glasses, the first time around, they (or the lab) got the lenses wrong, and they were computer-strength lenses, instead of distance. They ordered the "right" lenses and let me keep the computer ones, as well. The distance lenses for both pairs of eyeglasses made me nauseous and dizzy to the point of staying conscious only by sheer will (never fun, but very bad when driving!), so I stopped trying to wear them, and stuck with the computer glasses/lenses, which I can see well enough with to get by on. One of the lenses on the new pair of computer glasses has a rough edge or divot or something, and even when using cloth eyeglass wipes, it tears off a small piece, which even tweezers can't remove. It's very annoying. Overall, I spent a lot of money, and am not happy with what I wound up with. I am overdue for new glasses/lenses, and will not be going back.
