  • First time at this location but I've been to the Eastern location numerous times. I didn't know that this place was a sit-down restaurant which it makes sense to me now that the one on Eastern says "Island Flavor Express" in their store front. My boyfriend and I were craving fried chicken so we decided to dine here for their well known furikake chicken. It was pretty busy for a weekday night but didn't expect our order to take so long to come out. It took over forty minutes to arrive to our table from the time we placed it. We thought this place would be a quick eat. Although we didn't really have a designated server (I think) , I wish someone like our server who took our order would've told us that their kitchen was backed up or something at least. Most of the workers didn't look so happy to work there especially the hostess/cashier in front had the most annoyed look on her face whenever people came in & she was walking them to their tables. The only server that was actually friendly to us & the other tables around was the guy server. As for the food itself , furikake chicken was tasty and large portion to share for 9$. I love the food at both locations & think that it's way better than other Hawaiian establishments around Las Vegas. It's probably just better to just order to-go or for takeout here. Other menu items I recommend that I tried from their other location: THEIR SPICY AVO POKE (worth ordering by the pound) , chicken katsu , kalbi short ribs , and all of the desserts (their chantilly and guava cake slices are bomb).
