  • Don't go here. Just don't bother. I went in today mainly hoping to look around and thought I may buy one or two books, whatever jumped out at me. When I walked in, I told the lady working that I just wanted to look. She asked me what I was looking for in particular, which was a little odd because I literally just said I'm here to look around. Turned out it was going to get a lot weirder than that. After she pushed me to come up with something I was looking for (novels, I guess), she came over with me and started pulling books off the shelf and telling me about them. Which sounds nice, except she was starting to push them on me, one after another. When I said I'd like to look and see what else was in the shop (you know, so I could find something to buy, and I had seen only one tiny section of the shop that she wouldn't let me leave), she was unhappy that I didn't want exactly what she had recommended to me, and then demanded that I pay her $3 if I wanted to look around any more, because "this is becoming a museum." If I bought a book, she'd give me my money back. Seriously? And she said that since I didn't want to give her money, I clearly had no intention of buying a book, so she kicked me out. Total garbage. This isn't a museum, it's a shop, and apparently she doesn't understand or care how shops work. She's going to end up shutting them down with this method. So basically: the lady working there will not leave you alone, no matter how clearly you state your intent to browse the books there. She will stand right beside you, breathe down your neck, and if you don't want to buy what she pushes at you, she'll demand your money or that you leave. So just don't bother. It's a headache.
