| - After a little too much sun, we didn't feel like venturing off the resort property for dinner. Remington's is decorated very rustic and nicely. When we waiting to be seated, the manager came up to seat some others waiting and never acknowledged us. When he did, no smile, no welcome, nothing. A sober look as he sat us. The menu was very small and dated. The entrees as well as the music was 1980's. Meanwhile, in the bar, there is live music so you hear the blended music all through dinner- Boy George and lounge music, it felt like you were in between 2 radio stations. It was extremely unnerving while trying to enjoy dinner. However, when the food was brought out, it was disappointing. The sand dabs were so breaded and had the frozen taste. The rib eye was cooked well but the menu is so out dated. The fresh rolls and creme Brule was good.
It was one of the worst dinners we have had. The one saving grace was our waiter, Greg. He was personable, friendly, great service. He is a gem in this place. As culinary professionals, is was so disheartening to see a place that could have such potential, have such lousy food and menu and to have a manager with no personality. Love the resort- would never eat there again.
