  • I was all over Elizabeth, Pleasant Hills, Jeannette, McKeesport, West Mifflin, etc searching for fresh nutmeg. The produce manager at one Giant Eagle actually told me to look in Dairy....Well, DeCarlo's had it. If you're looking for that elusive ingredient, try DeCarlo's! They may be small, but it's amazing what they carry. The family owned business has been on the corner of Lovedale & Glassport-Elizabeth Rd. for quite a long time. The family makes you feel like family. Very friendly, very knowledgeable, very helpful. Their lunch meats, cheeses and all that is Italian is always fresh and so very good! I love this little store and the people who run it! Oh, try their Italian Hoagie. They are known for it!
